“T.A.P.S.” sees the end of a military era as the powers that be in government authorize the demolition of the venerable Bunker Hill Military Academy. The once proud school, which has stood in it’s place for 141 years is to torn down for local area renovation and made the site for a new set of condos. The news of this sets most of the academy’s young cadets and causes a major ruckus. Just when it looks as if the gruff old commander General Harlan Bache (George C. Scott) will side with the order he organizes the cadets. Led by Cadet Major Brian Moreland (Timothy Hutton) the cadets seize the campus and secure it’s location. They cordon off the barracks and refuse entry to the construction crews who have come to set the charges. Now it is one final stand off against the cadets of Bunker Hill and the US government.
